Tiny house progress October part 1

A step in our journey to financial independence is minimizing housing costs. We intend to do this by building a tiny house in my dads garden in the suburbs of Stockholm. It is a project we are undertaking with my dad and his partner where we will help to build the house and then will rent it from them. Our plan is to then rent our apartment out and eventually sell it at a good time. You can follow our journey on the page Tiny house

We had to send some additional information to the municipality but now the plans are approved. We have to wait four weeks before we can start. In the mean time we have continued working with clearing the area where the house is going to sit. A warm (18 degrees!) autumn sunday we felled two of the three trees that need to come down. I had pulled a wisdom tooth out so was taking it easy so Mr LIL represented the muscle this time (not that he doesn’t do that every time!).

Before we took down two trees on the left
after – you can see so much more sky
My dad wheilding the chain saw and Mr LIL pulling the tree in the right direction
The LIL wolf was helping to pull apart branches of course (her favourite pastime)
